Yo Familia! We’re back again with this week’s edition of asking content creators questions, this week we have non other than Complaints Department (Brvce), who is emerging as one of the most consistent and promising content creators in the space
Having come into the game through the his viral shortform interviews with multiple media personalities and celebrities, Bruce found a new challenge of starting a Youtube channel, Where he has found his way to pivot and diversify his content arranging from vlogs to various collaborations with other creators. In this year, It’s safe to say Bruce has established himself as one of the most likeable, promising and exciting creators in the scene
What’s the story behind how you finally got to making your first video?
Well it was during baddies house when I got a VN from Zillewizzy in the A.M.s
He was literally telling me how I’m sleeping on myself by not creating a YouTube channel..
it really hit home cause I knew he was coming from a good place and so I that inspired me to shoot my first video a few months later at Cottonfest
Has the new found attention that’s come into your life affected any of your close relationships ?
well besides my African parents thinking it’s childish and games
For me it makes having romantic relationships a little tricky because of the type of videos one would shoot and constant public attention, and insecurities and expectations from partners
I’d say such fators took a toll on my romantic relationships
If you could get any artist alive or dead to join you on a collab who would it be and why?
Definitely AKA , there’s absolutely no south African celebrity I loved more than AKA I was lucky enough to meet him before he passed and the interaction was everything I dreamt of it broke my heart when he passed and he’s someone ill always admire ever since I was a kid
What’s something you feel is holding you back?
For me it’s proper equipment and recognition, I really feel like I would actually have proper collaborations with a lot of events and promotions in the country but I think I’m not fully recognized yet
